My beautiful big brother...

...left this earth on Monday the 21st of January 2008. I loved him so much. I didn't get a chance to say goodbye and neither did a lot of you. This is our chance to show him how much we loved him, how much he made us smile, laugh, cry, dance, get annoyed, learn something new, get in trouble, or be inspired. Every memory is welcome here and I hope if you have something to relate, even if it's small, a funny story or a experience you had with Jigme, you'll write it down here, so we can all remember how incandescent the fire of his soul burned; bright and pure.

If you'd like to write your own post or upload a picture, please send me an email so that I can add that email address to the site's administration and make you an author. It's no trouble, in fact I'd like as many people to contribute to this site as possible. Thanks, Urgyan

A tribute to Jig at Burning Man 2008

I am making this post for Jigme. I went to Burningman this year in the Nevada desert. If you were to look it up you would see it would be something that Jigme would have been very interested in. It is 50,000 like minded people in the desert for 8 days together to celebrate life and at times also death. There is the burning of the man... and also the burning of the temple. The burning of the temple is more significant because people that come to Black Rock City are able to pay tribute to friends and loved ones that they lost in a way they may never have been able to. The temple is a way to leave a message to someone you lost and cared about. When the temple is burned on the 7'th night, all 50,000 people are there and silent... they watch in awe as the temple slowly burns and eventually falls. During this time I was able to think of my friend Jigme and say good bye. I think if jig knew what I did for him it would make him so happy. I drove 5600 miles total and left his name there. I know he will find his way home if he hasn't already. Like I've said before I miss you Jig... Peace my brother...
